Importing STL?

First; is there a search method to look for specific topics in the forum, can't find one?

Mainly; Is there a way to import a 3D model on this site? I have been scouring the internet for days for a software that will allow me to do everything I want to do. Ideally I'd like to be able to scan something and turn it into a Lego (I saw it done on Facebook with a Yoshi, but cant find that video). I understand needing a 3D file for most software, but everything either does not work, does not work the way I want or does not support the size or format I am trying to use. I tried to download Lscupt but I can not seem to get it to work. I tried tinkercad which is very clumsy. I tried brickify but doesn't load my stl. SO, this site is very promising in the sense of what I see and hear is coming (instructions), but I am not seeing a way to import a 3d file? is it create from the ground up only?

This is exactly what I want to do: Find a figure/sculpture I like, import it into a software to convert into a Lego set and gives me instructions with an inventory list. Seems very simple, I just cant seem to find all the pieces of the answer so far. Help?

There's no option to search topics. You can use Google. 😛 (This forum is just a basic version allowing us to communicate)

There's currently no option to import a stl file and convert it to the lego model. That's not really an easy thing to do.
