Hi everyone, I'm new here but I was wondering if it's at all possible to export models into Maya 2016?
No Maya expert but looking at what Maya can import and what you can export from Mecabricks it looks like you could do it with .obj or maybe .stl?
well here is the interesting part... if you look at the pieces you're using while in Mecabricks, it says "model.mb"... which is the native Maya file format. Could it be possible to some way save the file as an .mb format??
Nope. Here .mb just means "mecabricks" 😛
ah lol.. I see what you did there... 😉
Would you need to convert all the shaders to Arnold (or Mental Ray) for it to render well in Maya?
I do not own any of these software and renderers. I am focused on Blender and Cycles for now as this is a free solution available to everybody. However if someone is keen to provide solutions for Arnold and others, go for it 😃
