Sometimes I have difficulty in selecting a snap point. Consider the following scenario. I have a large plate that I am building on (like a baseplate). I then place on piece on top, no problem. When I want to place a second piece snapped onto the baseplate, sometimes I have difficulty selecting the snap point because as I move the mouse, the first piece gets highlighted and selected. It may take several attempts for me to move my mouse quickly and accurately enough to select the snap point on the baseplate.
Is there a way to "lock" which piece is selected so that the choice of snap points don't change to another piece?
I'm not sure if my description is clear, so please let me know if you need me to reword it or demonstrate with an example.
You can assign a default snap point (called origin) to a piece or a group. This point will be selected by default when you select the part/group without clicking on a snap point.
Select the snap point that you want to define as origin. Then click "Set".
Note that the custom origins are not saved and will be lost when you re-open your file later.
I think it would be nice if you could toggle between the snappoints of a piece with a key(shortcut), maybe use tab key? That way you can just click somewhere on the piece and then tab to the right snap node. Just a suggestion for future version...

Never thought about it. Why not.
Cool, thanks, I did not know about this feature.
