Part numbers - Where to get
Superdooperhero started this discussion in Help and Tips

Hi

When building my part numbers never seem to match. Which website do you use for the part numbers for Lego sets? I normally use Peeron or Bricklink, but I keep on finding bricks that have different part numbers which turn out to then be in the library. For example http://www.peeron.com/inv/parts/3626bpx189 is 3626d747 in Mecabricks. Which website with part lists can I use instead?

Thanks

This is the Mecabricks Reference.

Most part database have their own system. TLG (brickset also uses this one), Bricklink, Peeron, Ldraw, etc are all slightly different, mainly for decorations - undecorated parts are often based on mold reference.

In Mecabricks I also reference Bricklink refs and names. So if you do a query using this data, it will find it (90% of the time but data for older Mecabricks parts are being constantly upgraded).

For your example, you can type 3626bpb0176.
