Hello, everyone! So, technically I don't know if we are actually allowed to post stories about ourselves and asking for kindness from others on here, but I'm sure Scrubs will let me know if it's not allowed 😄 haha.
I wanted to quickly take a moment out of your days to tell you a short story and update with my life.
One unique thing about myself is that I was actually born without hands. It's a long story, and I won't get into it, but fortunately for me, I was very lucky with how I adapted in the real world. I was able to do everything (and still can) do everything that a person with hands can do, which also includes one of my most favorite activities - building with Legos!!!! Both physical and digital 😉 And I do it all without any special equipment, aids or even a prosthesis!
I honestly believe my physical difference has been a barrier between me and finding a job in my field of study (graphic design). Not only that, but I’ve tried applying for numerous general labor jobs with very little success in interviews, and I personally believe it's their loss, and they don't know what they're missing by passing me up.
All these unfortunate circumstances have been difficult for me to handle at times. However, despite all that, I am attempting at turning over a new leaf and trying to change many aspects of my life, including becoming a more positive person and focusing on a new path for a possible career.
I recently applied to a boot camp/summer program that would allow for me to learn new skills in web development and user experience design, and I can happily announce that I was accepted into this amazing and life-changing/altering educational program located in Cape Town, South Africa. It's a two-month class-styled program, that also would include a one-month internship afterward at a local business in Cape Town.
I believe that this program would allow for me to gain many new experiences in my life, as well as numerous skills and valuable work experience, and I believe it would provide me with an opportunity to show folks in the workforces that I'm perfectly capable of accomplishing all tasks presented, despite my lack of hands.
UPDATE: I was able to reach my goal amount, and I am heading to Cape Town in a few weeks!!!!

Thank you so much for all your help and time, and keep on making all those amazing and inspirational mocks and creations! I know I certainly plan to keep on building throughout my life when I can 😃
