Best scaling in Blender?
NGCHunter2 started this discussion in Model Export and Render

The Mecabricks2Blender Template uses Subsurface Scattering and Round Edges, so I wondered how much I should scale down an export (Collada) in Blender to get realistic results (at least, the Shadow is effected by the scale as well...), because the incoming export is HUGE.

Does someone know the value (e.g. 0.2)?

The way the template works now is so that you don't need to scale anything. I'm not sure if it'll look better altered or not, but feel free to experiment. 😃

Okay, thanks. 😃

You can still scale your model if it is really needed (moving the camera instead is better but can create issues with clipping and viewport rendering if model is too big). However make sure that you are happy with the scale of the model before you run the script. If you want to change it later you will need to update the materials one by one... not fun!
