Public projects not editable?
mestrini started this discussion in General Discussion

Hi, just found out about this awesome site and I'm really happy since I was looking for an practical linux solution and a way to escape the Windows environment since LDD is one of the few programs that still make me 'go there'. Thanks 😃

Although not a copyrights issue for me I'm wondering if a personal (as in NOT OFFICIAL) project made public can be prevented from being edited and saved afterwards?
Thanks

In your account library: http://mecabricks.com/en/account/library
you'll be able to set an option "Open in workshop" on any MOC to X.
If you set this option correctly, users that view your model cannot open it in the workshop and thus cannot save/edit it.

If you don't publish your builds to public, they remain private.

Got it!
I didn't catch that since I have only an official model saved and had selected the "LEGO set" option which hides those MOC options.

Thanks. 😃

Wow, I never noticed that option before.

It hasn't been here for a long time, just a few months. 😉

Scrubs added this option around the 21 september.
I remember it perfectly because i've been waiting that option to publish some MOCs made by Daniel Siskind 😉

i cant puplish a moc?!?!?!

what does moc stand for? I'm new here I've only been here for 3 weeks
