So, Chrome just updated recently, and it made things bigger. I didn't like it, so I set the default page zoom to 90%. But if it's set to 90% the Colours, Properties, and Groups sections disappear. The problem can be fixed though by changing it to another zoom level other than 125%, 175% or higher. Although I seriously doubt that anybody would be using it at 175% or higher. 😛
I get same behavior on my debian linux Chrome and only after reaching 75% zoom i get the right panel back
I don't think that there will be a immediately solution for this problem. The workshop column doesn't really dissapear, it just moves beneath the brick bar because it can't be displayed properly on the normal place. There's just at some point less space than needed. Some zooms (like 75% or 125%) may be possible to fix by using new CSS3 properties but for the time that doesn't happen, just work on 100% zoom.
As javascript and html developer I know that browser quirks are never easy to solve and that's why I'd love to see my recent suggestion to collapse the panel implemented (http://www.mecabricks.com/en/forum/topic/485) since it would minimize the lack of space issue.
