If this game has a tpf file that contains some textures, then this program will work for that file as well. 😉

But actually for a tt game what is the best way to extract a texture from a character or a 3D vehicle? (Sorry small off-topic)

Look, if the file can be extracted with above mentioned tool. If not, it's either a different format or encrypted to prevent from ripping resources. If it's a completely different format, you might have to search for a tool with which you can extract sources from that one - if it exists.
