Hello, I will be picking 5 or more people to help on this project.

No problem. You're leadership will be awesome. I'm glad I voted for you.

Very good rules. When will we decide other positions?

Also, legobeethoven is helping. He wants me to email him everything that is going on. Then, I will tell everyone what he said.

Awesome! As the interim PR I'll note that down. That's 7 total!

Hey Coyote after about 12pm tomorrow, is there a way we can lock this topic (like an invite-only sort of thing), so that we can keep our project and ideas to ourselves until we publish it?

We can decide the positions anytime. When a person steps up to fill a particular role, we can give him sort of a "test run" to see if he will be good for the job.

Ok, great. I can ask scrubs if there is a lock out.

Awesome.

So, we still are open to project ideas, right?

Ya go for it

Well I don't have any at this moment, but will think of some.

Alright, still open suggestions.

I would probably suggestion something modern or futuristic.

Good suggestion Coyote. Just a heads up, I'm terrible at making moving/working models. 😦

Ha, so am I, but I am sure we could figure something out, right?

  1. Gravity is the most important thing when it comes to moving parts.
  2. Rubber bands, if used properly, can be great allies.
  3. A few gears here and there can really make a creation go; but put too many, and suddenly the creation is bulky and awkward.

^ Just some quick moving parts tips! 😃

Cool! One thing, are we doing a digital build or real brick build?

Possibly!

Great tips!

Well, that's one of the primary things I wanted to sort out. Here's the order of business:

PHASE 1: COLLABORATIVE BUILDING
Stage 1: What to Build
Keep brainstorming until we all agree.

Stage 2: Blind Build
Each person builds their own version of the creation; it can be with real bricks, or with a digital building program.

Stage 3: Collaboration
When we're finished, we all present our creations at once, and sort out which features we like the best out of all the creations, and vote on one creation to be the basis of our project.

Stage 4: One Model
The builder of that creation then incorporates those features into his model. When he finishes, he presents it to the rest of the group; and we each build it.

Stage 5: Adjustments
As we each build the model, we tweak things and tell everyone about the adjustments here, to discuss the model. A lot of "trial and error" will be required for this stage. When we're satisfied with the model and its features, we move on to the next phase of our project.

I'll post the details to the next phase when the time comes, or if anyone is curious.

Awesome! I love those stages. It's very good to know what to do and have a plan. Thanks for setting them up and being specific. 😄

I should be able to post the project. I have about 470 followers, 8 projects, and 710 clutch power points. If someone else wants to do it though, that would be fine!

I think that's a good idea Legobeethoven. You are pretty popular on Ideas and on Mocpages too. 😃

Yeah, I'd be happy to post on Mocpages and flickr to help promote!
