Strange workshop issue in Safari 9.1 on iMac 5K
james.milroy started this discussion in Bug Reporting

I've just got my new iMac 5K and this afternoon was the first time i've managed to get a go with mecabricks on it. I'm using Safari 9.1 on El Capitan 10.11.4.
If I make Safari the width of the screen or make it full screen, the selection of parts in the workshop is displaced to the left. If I reduce the window size to about ⅔ the width of the screen, the problem disappears!!. I'm going to try Chrome to see if it is any different. Will post my findings later.

Hello,
I also work on an iMac 5K. I know about this problem but I don't think I can do anything for that. Chrome had the same behavior before but is now working correctly. All the official examples from Three.js (WebGL framework I use) have the same issue... It actually stretches the image rendered from a certain width of the window and the projector used to select objects becomes out of sync.

I've had a play with Chrome, it doesn't exhibit the same behaviour, i.e. it works as expected. I did notice that if I opened a model, reset the view and went full screen, the model and grid were stretched to the right in Safari but not in Chrome. Has this always happened for you or is it peculiar to the 5K mac?

It does only happen with the screen of the iMac 5K and safari (chrome too before). There might be a bug with the pixel ratio or something similar.

Done a bit of googling, it seems that Mecabricks isn't the only program affected. Something to do with scaling after 4096 pixels wide if I picked it up right.
