My models never got labeled as sets... :-(

Hello!
I built two sets (one from the Hobbit, the other from The Lord Of The Rings), but neither ever got officially marked as sets... is there any way for them to be marked as such?

Thanks in advance!

Too bad it didn't happened yet. It's probably a mistake.
For a set to get marked, you need to do the following as author:

  • In the properties of your set, set the 'type of model' to LEGO Set
  • Then fill in the number of the set (and let the rest auto fill in)

If this has happened, and it's just a mistake as I mentioned, please just contact Scrubs in a personal message.

OK. Thanks!

If the sets don't get marked, it is also likely that someone else has already built that set and that one was marked. Had the same thing happen to me awhile back. Only one version gets marked.

No one else posted those. 😃

I believe there is a certain level of completion that a set must reach before Scrubs marks it as an official set. I think the model is supposed to have at least all of the molds before being tagged, but I could be wrong.

Hello,

There are multiple criteria for a model to be tagged:

  • Correct build (parts properly positioned)
  • Correct colours
  • If mainly based around minifigs, decorations and minifig accessories need to be present. I generally flag the models with missing minifigs if the model itself is the main point of interest.
  • No other models flagged with the same reference unless it is of a better quality.

It can also happen that I miss a model.

in the case of the 2 models that you mentioned here, it is borderline. 9471 is mainly built around minifigs but only a few are missing. For
79018, Minifigs are not so important but the dragon is missing.

I posted a recommendation in the comments related to the wrong material used for shiny parts. if you correct that for both sets, I might flagged them.

I feel it makes more since to just add this to an existing topic, rather than make a new one.

My model of Kuffs (41554) http://www.mecabricks.com/en/models/907vNynVjAm never got labeled as a set. The model is complete.

Ah. Thanks, Scrubs!
