Please excuse a newbie question. If I construct a model in the Workshop using a set of purchased plans, is it possible to show off the model in the library with the 3d view or Render but not expose the geometries in the Editor ? This could lead to legal questions since having the geometries is basically giving away the plans.
That's not possible. If you're making your model public, both geometries, 3d view and renders will be visible to public.
EDIT: What you can do is keep your model private, create renders and upload your renders on an image hosting website like Flickr.
