See All of a User's Models
nu_montag started this discussion in Suggestions and Ideas

Would it be possible to make a feature where by clicking on the name of the designer of a model, it would take you to a page that shows all of the models that they have designed? I tag all of my models with my username so they can all be accessed at once, but it would be nice to see a feature like that integrated into the site. Also, I was wondering if the private/internal message system proposed a while back (seen a few posts down here --> http://www.mecabricks.com/en/forum/topic/18 ) would ever be finished, or if it is, how to access it. Hope these suggestions help!

Yes, all of that is in the pipeline - I just need time to implement.

To do for the website itself:

  • Finish the new display page that includes renderings of models
  • Add renderings to the library page
  • Sort models by users on the library page
  • Page to request new part
  • Internal message system
  • Notification system/page

New tutorial to:
- Use the Blender template I will release

  • Make decorations

On the side, I also:

  • keep adding pivot points/lego logos to existing parts
  • improve old models of parts
  • Add new parts
  • Add new decorations
  • Add new tools to the workshop

I probably need more than one life to do all that but I'll get there 😉

Sounds great!

It is now possible to access all the models of a particular user in the library. You can click on the name of a user:

  • on the right of a model in the model display page
  • in the comments
  • in the library page
  • on the front page

e.g. http://www.mecabricks.com/en/library/user/RuMontag

Thanks! Can't wait for the message system!

I made the design and I started coding it. Another week or two to get it ready.

Hi there.

Just wanted to ask if there is a way to add anchor points to the flexible parts editor. At least one in the middle would be great. I'm very new here, so I may have missed it if it's already there.

Thanks again.

Nevermind. Found it. You just have to select both vertexes and THEN click subdivide.

I think I had the same problem when I started. Glad you could figure it out!
